Mother's Day!

My first Mother's Day was the best!  Saturday night we loaded up in the car and headed to Grammie Lynne's to visit with Uncle Todd and have Thai food. yum!  We also went for a walk through Turner Village- Maesa loves to be in the backpack and she will often bounce up and down when she's having a good time.  Then, Sunday morning things got even better.  Maesa and Shawn went grocery shopping early so I could sleep in.  We had a fantabulous breakfast, complete with cards and flowers, and then I had my first bike ride in 2 years!  We had a family outing in the afternoon during which Maesa got to swing on a playground and experience going down a slide with Mama and Papa.  Great, relaxing fun.  The day was capped off by having dinner with Grammie Carol.  The best weekend with my little girl and family!

Maesa turned 9 months old just this week.  She is a blast and exploring something new everyday.  Recent milestones have been waving, crawling UP the stairs, and trying a variety of new foods.  She is so much fun to interact with and everyone remarks on what a smiley baby she is.  We feel truly blessed.
